Registered Nurse (RN) – Dental/Surgical Assistant

House Dental Centre | Red Deer, AB

Pay: CA$40–CA$45 per hour

Job Type: Full-time | In-person

Schedule: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 11:00 AM–7:00 PM

House Dental Centre is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dental team in Red Deer.

This is a unique role for an RN who genuinely cares about patients, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to expand into dental, surgical, and prosthetic care. You will support patient care during dental and surgical procedures, assist with sedation-related duties, and help deliver an excellent patient experience from start to finish.

Dental experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

What you’ll do

Provide compassionate, attentive care to patients throughout their visit
Start IVs and administer/push medications within scope and clinic protocols
Provide local anesthetic injections intraorally after training
Assist with dental and surgical procedures
Learn and support surgical, prosthetic, and general dental workflows
Communicate clearly with patients, team members, and referring offices/other clinics
Help maintain an organized, efficient clinical flow
Support charting, documentation, and computer-based systems
Multitask effectively in a busy clinical setting

What we’re looking for

Must-have:

Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alberta and in good standing
Strong patient-care mindset and professionalism
Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on clinical environment
Fast, organized, and able to multitask well
Strong communication skills with patients and team members
Good computer skills
Willingness to learn dental, surgical, and prosthetic procedures

Nice-to-have:

Experience with IV starts and medication administration
ACLS certification
Experience assisting in procedural, surgical, or sedation settings
Healthcare, dental, oral surgery, or surgical assisting experience
